   apollo

From the rhapsody of your mythic lyre to the haunting verses written on flame, I shall but remember our dusking trysts as nightfall slips, then, we are done…again. How the lamentation of our breath is once more ever held in, held out when daybreak calls for your rays’ gleam: Somehow the notes in poetry leave me with an elixir of both joy and anguish, the accompaniment of your tune upon my bosom endures the distance, far farther on, as your sparkle drapes this rosette curve in such transient but intimate way— Apollo, ardent god of my sun, my morning dew come for me without interludes of time; play the rhythm, its fervor eternal knowing how mortal love can prevail so long as we, in the same drift grows...unless Love Letter Contest for Viv Wigley Apollo: Greek God of the sun, music, poetry Symbols: lyre, wreath 3/28/2018
