From the rhapsody of your mythic lyre
to the haunting verses written on flame,
I shall but remember our dusking trysts
as nightfall slips, then, we are done…again.
How the lamentation of our breath
is once more ever held in, held out
when daybreak calls for your rays’ gleam:
Somehow the notes in poetry leave me
with an elixir of both joy and anguish,
the accompaniment of your tune upon my bosom
endures the distance, far farther on,
as your sparkle drapes this rosette curve
in such transient but intimate way—
Apollo, ardent god of my sun, my morning dew
come for me without interludes of time;
play the rhythm, its fervor eternal
knowing how mortal love can prevail
so long as we, in the same drift grows...unless
