Love Letter

You know, I always felt that someday, somehow, true love would find me. What I did not know is that it would be you coming my way. You really caught me by surprise. We have known each other on and off for several years now, but you really fascinated me, the same you do when I gaze into your eyes.

You came to me as a beautifully packaged gift of humor, talent, intelligence, beauty and love. There is an old saying, and I am not sure who said it, but it goes something like this, “it isn’t finding the perfect person that matters, but learning to see an imperfect person, perfectly”. You know, we all have our flaws, but when I see you through my eyes, perfection is all I see.

From the times that you laugh, to the times you are upset, I love all the little things you do, especially when I hear your laughter. Since we have been together, we have had our share of rough times, but our love and devotion to each other has guided us through. I know that as long as we are on this journey together, there is nothing we can’t do.

There is another saying, “where your treasure is, your heart will be also”. Now, I may not know what tomorrow holds, but the one thing I do know, is that you are my one and only true love, a treasure deep within in my heart, that I want to devote my whole life to completely.

I know that I don’t need to prove my feelings to know that they are true, because what I have known in the past, doesn’t even come close to what I experience with you. I have had the experience of being in relationships before, however this is the first time I have ever felt true happiness and true love. It is an honor to know that I am yours, as you are mine.

For now, I will patiently await for that day when we will be together, that precious moment in time when I can whisper into your ear, “honey, I love you so very much”. Until then, our love for each other, and our understanding of each other, will do nothing but grow and strengthen.
