Love Letter

Dear Love,

Cans't thou return to the
Envelope which once sealed
The essence of you?
I remember you;
Kind, decadent,
And swift as wind songs.
I know you now;
Harsh, unjust, and bitter,
A slow procession of grief.

Had I one million words,
You would not return.
I know this,
For I have tried.
Had I one million tears,
You would not return.
I know this for I have cried.

My face has felt no stream
from eyes which weep.
My soul drowns
From heart cries,
Sorrow's rivers' deep.
I pray.
I trust.
I love.
I must.

A very sad but beautifully written poem, I know how bad it feels because I ve been through it, when someone you loved with all your heart left you or went away it felt like your purpose of living has ended, you don t wanted to do anything, just remember the old days waiting that your partner will show up and it never happens, no one came back however I m new on this site and have poems of similar category which i wanted you to read and tell me how you feel about them
