Love Letter

i should write something back,
I know.
Love letters do not agree well
When left without a response.
This is what I continue to tell myself.
Still, there it sits,
Anonymous and unrequited 
I will not write a lie,
Nor will I feign feelings
Where it's certain they'll 
Never be.
Still, I should write something back,
I know.
Love letters do not age well
When left with a response.
