Love Language
Love Language
The words “I love you” seem strangers to your lips
Not falling with the ease of rain from Heaven’s eyes
Compliments share no home – seem eclipsed
Affirming words often lost in disguise.
Though my native tongue speaks affirming words
As gifts declare my loyal heart’s intent
They speak a foreign dialect in your world
To wander orphaned children – not evident.
Yet, your love language with bold voice expressed
In timely deeds of charity – work of your hands -
No request refused – no plea suppressed –
Love connects in touch we both understand.
Acts of service shout your love language scent
More than gifts or words I prize these - sweet incense.
