Love Is Worth Crossing Boundary Lines

You say I didn’t give you your fair shake I used your heart and I was a fake You say I never gave and left a big wake That’s what you see, but that’s not my take I wanted to love you and oh I tried But you pushed me away with every stride Every little thing had to be your way And if I didn’t comply you’d always complain I gave you love as best I could You couldn’t accept my love for you Maybe with the next one you’ll realize Love is worth crossing boundary lines You said we were fine if I didn’t cross the line But no matter what I did, I crossed it every time The rules always changed depending on the day I really did love you, but I’m not into games I gave up trying, I couldn’t be perfect I loved you better than you deserved it But it wasn’t enough to match what you expected So now it’s over because you say you’re neglected I gave you love as best I could You couldn’t accept my love for you Maybe with the next one you’ll realize Love is worth crossing boundary lines April 3, 2021
