Love Is Stronger Than Hate
What is a power more strong than hate?
something that ignites and flames through the golden gates
something that fuels every prayer
and gives an angel their wings
(more than just a bell ringing)
What power can carry us through thick and thin?
what power helps us know that, even if we lose,
we win?
It's a power that is ignored through out time
through out the months and years that it's freely given
we're too blind to see it.
To harness it and grasp it tightly in our hands.
To our hearts.
Can you not guess?
I will tell you, yet...
The power stronger than hate is powerful
and warm
hot and intense
yet soft and fuzzy
We pack it away and pull it out when we need it most
Can you guess?
Not hate, nor anger is stronger than this power
it's so much more than just lasting of an hour
it lasts for a lifetime and more
beyond more.
It is love.
ignored yet waiting to embrace us like lost friends
lost family
embracing us like we are cherished
like we are bandaged from all the hurt we've suffered
love is all powerful and God is that love.
He is everlasting.
All the time.
