Love Is Not a Battlefield

Love is not a battlefield
There is no way to lose or win
There are not victors
or defeated opponents
But there are broken souls
Who lose themselves in love’s labyrinths
They fight to survive
But find only wasted time
Questions whisper around everything they say
And doubt grows through every action
A truth becomes a rare commodity
No,
Love is not a battlefield
But so many in love
Are fighting
A war that’s not a war
