Love Is In the Air Tonight
I saw heaven in his eyes as he glared in the distance,
a look of grace at which then he looked back at me.
Love is in the air tonight with such fascination,
but never once have I found such beauty...
until I met him-
my heart only dim.
Be still dear cupid, my soul has been captured-
fulfill this part of me, I've longed to be raptured.
Stay right there I shall come and follow-
for before I saw him my soul only hollow.
God-given strong hands with a light-hearted smile,
Sincerity lingers and simplicity in his walk.
His scent, a fragrance of a cool breeze under the twilit moon,
streaming through my soul as he delicately talks.
When cupid released the arrow to his heart-
he sent me truth, for we shall never part.
Like pebbles on a beach he surfaces me-
like a tide in the sand he sets me free...
until I met him,
my soul only dim.
