Love Is Blind

Love is blind they say
When your following  
An irrational heart
It’s better to think 
before you start
It will be too late once you begin
For it will blind you from within
Putting you into a bind
And through feelings you will find
The one that takes hold of your mind
Can also turn out to be unkind
Is it your fate that is entwined?
That makes you now confined
To the contract you signed
But you can always choose
To loosen a blind noose
For hearts are also inclined
To sometimes fall behind!

You are quite right Carol, there is an irrational quality to love. And yet the heart wants what the heart wants. If affection takes a bad turn, the courage to right the bend is vital. As you write, "you can always choose to loosen a blind noose." An enjoyable read! Be well. Brian

Yes Brian love is an emotion that can be kind or cruel sometimes.... But we have the ability to make choices.... Thank you :)
