Love is a clock, so mine is timeless

Love,
like a clock, its heartbeat in the second hand,
A rush to unlock the heart's embrace.

I,
circle endlessly, returning to where I start.
The minute hand,
searching twelvefold for a heart's perfect time.

Sweethearts,
counted on fingers mastered by numbers.
The hour hand,
slows my chase with love's seasoned patience.

You,
a cuckoo's call, announcing the awaited moment.
