Love Inspissiated

Love inspissiated*
when she was tired of it.
It had run its course.
She wished she could send
it back to the cleaners,
or whatever you do with
inspissiation.

It sounded vulgar,
this "spiss" word,
so she said it twice -
"inspissiation".

Love inspissiated
one lost afternoon
in her middle-age.
George was hopeless!
She wished she could send
him back to the cleaners -
that he would just PISS OFF.
