Love Implores the Breeze

LOVE IMPLORES THE BREEZE

Sky Lord, Boundless Mighty Wind
Master of all who Sail the Sea
Effortless you can afford
this one
small
secret
generosity,
I beg:

Encapture gently the frail billowing sail
                                                     of my lover's home-bound craft--
Your simple afternoon play of effortless swirl
Could blow him beyond waiting wretched storm-ward isles
Forever to fill my aching arms--
Yet
Still leaves you
Countless men to
Drown
            or
                   Dally
      as your godly whimsy
              so inclines.
