Love Has Lost Its Flavor

The key to love are not the words you say
They are the meaning behind what is said
Love is unexplained but words are not
Compassion is just the use of different words 

This one word “love” has been way over used 
It no longer has a true meaning behind it
To show your love you must use different words 
Then just this one that we call, Love

I love your new shoes, 
I love your new car
love is not meant for militaristic things
Love Has Lost It’s Flavor

Bobby May December 17, 2018 at 8:28 AM Darlene, I think you missed my point, we over say the word love and the word has lost it's true meaning. This is a lot of the reason couples don't last they say they love each other but if they say they love your new shoes that person thinks that they are being compared to a pair of shoes and not the true meaning of love. I consider the warm feelings I have for friends to be a special kind of love, but perhaps people don't get the gist of what we're trying to express when we use it.
