Love Deluge
Drowning in a deluge
Of broken promises
Floating down
Into oblivion
Memories come surging in
From long ago
Holding my hand out
To a phantom love
Drifting into dark
Lingering between love and death
My lovers hand is far from reach
Lungs flooded with sorrow and regret
Captivated by a light
I fight the pain away
Swimming towards an open door
The start of a new beginning.
