Love Consumes

/Oh! dear girlie,
I collected the letter you threw away,
You called me a nut,
You called me insane,
I came after you and you rejected me,
You raised your eye-brows,
Later you consented after much delay,
You intransigence did not deter me,
I accepted you wholeheartedly,
You later decided to jilt me,
In preference to a stranger;
You threw me out like garbage,
My loving mind is paining,
Do you think that my love for you,
Is mere pretense?
My dream garden is withering away,
Like a flower plant left without water,
My only option is to bid you farewell,
And wither away!!?/.
