Love came softly with a touch
On my hand and face.
Love came softly with a look
All shy and laughing eyes.
Love came softly with a question
'Will you go with me'?
Love came softly with patience
When I couldn't be with you.
Love came softly with time
The time it took for me to see
That I had found everything I ever wanted in you.
Love came softly
And filled my world with song.
