Love Bursts
His tongue felt glued
to his gum with
epoxy;
his legs swayed, wobbled,
softened like
spaghetti;
for there, at last, she was,
waving over her
shoulder;
her shy smile beckoning
him, "Come on
over";
jet-black hair falling over
a mirthful, teasing
eye;
ah, arterial bursts of love,
what a swell way
to die!
