Love and Your Captain
The shell of my heart has been shattered like glass!
So many pieces scattered about
I feel so alone I wanna shout
Still the loneliness remains, it won’t pass
My love was like platinum, not like brass
But just when I think this love is real, I doubt
This love has me punch drunk, like a twelve round bout
And so I drown my pain inside a wine glass
I’m a fighter. I’ve been through the emotional strain
Love can bring the strongest man to his knees
But love can also create the strongest man
I’m a fighter. I’ve been through the emotional pain
And I’m trying to love a woman with such expertise
So take my hand and in this love I’ll be your captain!
