Notes About The Poem
Wendy Brent's Love and Roses: Tales From the Vienna Musical, buck deer with antlers and mandolin. ~Worthpoint
Love and Roses
Scrolling through my Facebook feed I see Wierd Secondhand Finds is having a rather heated debate;
Is the figurine male or female?
It has antlers and only male deer have antlers!
Perhaps it's artistic license and the antlers symbolize empowerment, and the pink dress? It's definitely female!
Meanwhile on the television screen the morning news rolls on:
war,
rumors of war,
the nuclear bombs may fall today,
or maybe tomorrow or certainly by next week!
Oh! Wait a minute;
hold that thought
because comment eight hundred and seven on Wierd has dropped,
the figurine has been ID'd
and so it's settled.
The figurine is named
as Love and Roses Musical Buck Deer Doll.
Ah, ha! See there it's male!
Well, isn't that just stereotypical?
