Love and Marriage
Though we have so short a life,
let our paths together be.
Two is one, husband and wife,
me for you and you for me.
Let no other shake our love,
nor fate tempt us e'er to part,
blessed as if by hea'en above,
truth in soul and truth in heart.
And thus if doubts the future brings,
they'll be as nothing on the air,
for by my side my partner sings,
of that love we will always share.
Oh, yes, I know my love is true,
and in that truth our souls do shine,
and so I want you, yes, I do,
even until the end of time.
