Love and Manipulation

You call me your love.
You call me darling,
You call me sweetie.
You say these sweet things,
just to make me happy.
You don’t mean it.
It seems you never did.
I tried and tried,
not to lose you.
I said “Don’t leave me, I need you”
and you knew you got me hooked.
There was never love in your heart.
Maybe for others, but not me.
You lied, and I believed it.
