Love and Loss

Two small butterscotch eyes look up at me. As I weep sobs of sorrow and pain My tears fall from my face like rain. I hear the gentle soothing purrs of my small yellow cat As I fall to me knees from where I sat. The thought of my loved one so slowely passed, It all happened oh so fast. One minute she was there, and the next I knew not where. I am so ready for that day When God will come and see her I may. The loss of a grandmother is oh so hard But your love and feelings should not be barred. And now I must not cry For it is time to say goodbye.
