Love and hate

Love arrived like soft rain,
Hate rose like a storm that breaks everything.
One wants to stay close, the other pushes away,
One warms the heart, the other turns it cold.

How can the same heart hold two roads?
One wants to stay, the other wants to disappear.
Love whispers: stay with me slowly,
Hate answers: let me burn everything quickly.

They are not meant to live in the same place,
Because when one grows, the other fades.
