Love and Hate

Love and hate often intertwine
We search and search but we cannot find

We try to untangle but our minds our confused
Like a bomb on an airplane that we cannot defuse

We try to separate our friends from our foes
But the fist of reality hits us square in the nose

Options are low and our tensions our high
The snowball of stress could make a grown man cry

Anxiety and depression run ram bid around
Like when you leave Disneyland with a frown

Society and politics are all that we see
Movies, the radio, and that friggin T.V.

No wonder why were failing with the news that were fed
The reality of a second holocaust where all end up dead

Money, drugs, corruption and power
Are all the keys to make a kind heart turn sour

The bead of exhaustion drips down our brow
The possibility of insanity is very real right now

Why are we searching for something that's not there
True happiness is not a mask you can wear
