Love and Germs

Love and germs surround us, United by the fact That both remain invisible Yet cause us to react. We must accept their presence And protect ourselves, although They may hover unexpectedly In ways we do not know. We cannot let our guard down So should stay on high alert For though love may make us happy, Sometimes, it, like germs, may hurt.

We're all vain to some degree, Ilene, men included. It's when it's taken to ridiculous extremes that it becomes hazardous to health. I don't mind aging provided it doesn't affect my health severely. My mother lived to 97 in relatively good health. I wonder if she bequeathed her longevity genes to me? Will just have to wait and see. Thanks for stopping by. / M

Singing 'Love Hurts' from the 70's as I read this. Never would have thought to compare/contrast love with germs, but you pulled it off!

Interesting bit on Japanese news that the best defence against COVID-19 is plain old-fashioned soap as modern chemical and liquid soaps, bacterial/alcohol wipes, etc. are only about 60% effective. So now Jan can wash her son's lips with soap instead of his tongue! Aloha! Rico
