Love Among the Stars

When we look above at the nighttime sky We are filled with this great mystique With the untold number of heavenly bodies So foolish to think we're unique If I was a gambler which I certainly am not Could now be a very rich man Betting on the existence of other life forms In this heavenly scale so grand Certainly I'm not all alone in my thinking Many have thought this before So to all of us bright minded individuals The odds just can't be ignored Unfortunately my time will end long before A meeting with beings we call aliens Most fantastic event in the annuls of mankind To finally discover other civilizations When we look above at the nighttime sky We are filled with this great mystique To think that one day we will finally meet them And discover we're not so unique © Jack Ellison 2015

Absolutely beautiful quatrain, Jack!!! The universe is full of mystery and majesty. Surely there's a possibility of other life forms out there, similar to us perhaps, or even more intelligent. I really enjoyed reading this one today. Great job!!! Always, Laura

Dragon wants to fly up to met you. His eyes are full of stars! He got a Dancing With The Stars Trophy. I wrote about it in 'The Cape'. He'll come from the sky and is an alien to Canada. If the border patrol gets a look at his sparkiy fire, he'll have to be an illegal alien, too. No Doubt! Yep He thinks he fits the bill perfectly! I'd say to just go the flow. Dragon logic is unflappable, to him! Oh! And he's easily classified under the catagory of other life forms, by all who meet him...LOL.

My belief is that we, in our infinitesimal world, are only one in an infinite number of life forms! Will we ever know for sure??? xxx
