Love Amidst the Ruins

We live in the shadow of giants
Yes, and it seems that
  the light we once knew
    is dying for lack of
oxygen
    Yet we believe it can
blaze forth once again
If you do not
   believe in the dance
At least trust the dancers
  to do their very best
All eyes are upon us
   as we touch the sky
     Perhaps we will learn
one day
   to live like clouds
Floating gently through
   the air
We'll face the
shadows with courage
and we'll let the
angry winds of despait
    pass by
   without having much of
an effect
on our fragile forms

This is lovely (though that is too familliar a word for this, it is too magical and alien). I really like your two contrasting images, and especially the second one. The last line "our fragile forms" is kind of stunning
