Love Again

As long as you haven't grown tired of me yet, You can read to me the bed-time story, About the horrors of the wicked witch, Or even the fantasy of the Snowwhite princess. You can even sing to my stubborn soul the bed-time song, Which my mother did not when nursing naughty me. Yet,one thing surely still holds, That as long as the sky hasn't fallen on to the earth, I shall neither blink my heavy eyes- Nor close them in perfect peace to perfect rest- Which always sits at the corner of every day;- Waiting patiently to hug weariness out of each one of us. Tonight is one exception, of all those nights, When, like a hungry dog I always ran to my master, "Sleep ; the heart's desire"; The only charming prince, who so far hasn't broken my heart. They say, that, "The heart wants what the heart wants"; Which,I agree with just for now, When I do not want to give in my all to sleep, When,I cannot stand it,being held hostage- For the entire night, for those, so many hours, By just one ruler who never retires, "sleep". Because, like I said, Tonight,I will be up and out all night; Pacing up and down from left to right; About to break the ground upon which I tread angilry! Tracing through the thick darkness for my old paths, Reading between the lines on a blank sheet of paper, Seeing through my opaque life like it, ever was transparent. I will sit here all by myself, Taking in the cold air and lies of the moon; Taking back my words of never falling in love again. Listening and dancing along with the sound of loneliness; Letting those sweet chords and tunes of silence- Flow down my spine through this emptiness of my life. If ever I needed space,it is right now, When all I need is to open the pages of my memories, And see through those few faces that Keep haunting my spirit, And open up to thinking, That I may know what I can do to love again; That I may know how to love again; That I may allow in that one more person to love me again; When the sun shines brightly and innocently upon us, When the wind blows mercilessly past us; At the far end of the night, where a new day,I shall meet.
