Love

Looks funny, five years ago you were a total stranger
And you eyed me viciously like I was a potential danger
You were skeptical to talk to me, you were shy
And you ran from me without even knowing why

Now I'm your first thought when you wake
I'm your only dessert, your delightful piece of cake
The face that once scared you is now your resting arms
In those arms you feel safe, from every form of harm

Time would tell those who would stay with you
If you can learn to hate, you can learn how to love
Love is not a mirage, it is what you can do
Love is a Personality, a gift from above

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
