Love

The first time I met you and looked into your eyes
 I knew the difference between love and possession
 There was warmth, tenderness, and understanding
 You gave me laughter, confidence, and shelter

 You made me feel like I was just born,
 my past had never existed
 You made me feel worthwhile;
 I could also bring you happiness

 There is just no room for jealousy in our relationship;
 there is so much more for us
 Your good humor is always around when I feel let down
 As time has passed I still feel brand new

 every time you look at me, every time I hear your voice
 We are friends first, and that is wonderful;
 we are lovers secondly, and that is heavenly
