Love

Love of oneself is necessary before one can love another. Not an egotistical view of being, Rather, respect. For it is not in believing one's own greatness that we come to understand others at such an intimate level. It is in respect for ourselves and in understanding our own shortcomings that we can relate. And in the ability to relate we are granted to ability to connect, And in the ability to connect we are granted the opportunity to communicate not only in words spoken, But unspoken. The ebb and flow of conversations between fluttering eyelashes and love-locked lips. The songs sung in one's heart as they come to love the other. A comfortable silence. Respect. Respect of one's self allows us to truly love one another.
