Love-
Love is an
emotion
that melts
ice and snow-
The world is a threatening place
until
love
makes the rounds
from one heart to another-
soft as a bright
feather and sweet
as a petal of sugar-
it fills the soul with its light-
Life becomes human again-
it’s no longer a closed door-
love-you're the medicine we take
to save us from the alter of darkness-
you're the brightness that shines
in our lives so we can
sing again beneath the
blue sky-hand in hand-
In the jungle
of strangers-
love
rings out
sweeping away borders-
The world becomes a stage-
love dances and twirls-
violins and guitars sing-
stars twinkle in the night sky-
love-you're as broad as
the earth and fragrant-
Love-
Where ever your sweet petal appears
the clouds of darkness take cover-California blue
