Love

The best flowers are not found in shops. They are the kinds you find Growing on the sides of highways During unnatural seasons; The kind for which you would Come To a screeching halt To get out, run back, Dart and dodge between Speeding cars Just to pick them For lively endurance, For the object of your affection. The greatest love shall never come to you, But it shall summon The greatest feats of your desire And the burning of midnight oil In recognition of a purpose With no necessary identity. With enough cause It will rock you Through the self imposed fray Between bouts of harmless laughter And as it washes over, you Will find yourself Opening up, Not wondering how it works But admiring how lovely Life can be.
