Love
Dear love,
My dear sweetest crime,
How long can you last?
One moment you are with me,
The next you are gone.
You who see nothing
And forget nothing,
How many eyes do you have
That you can’t see our precious tears and faded joy?
You exist without seeing lives perish,
All for you.
My dearest love,
You, merciless force that fuels life,
Why imprison the world?
Everybody needs you and yet you hurt.
People give up everything for you,
But you keep demanding.
How ruthless you are, my greedy love,
That your pocket never gets full.
The world is lame,
All because you come and go.
