Love
Looking for love
in many places,
in many faces?
What are your chances?
Love opens you up
and lifts your spirit up.
It brings you joy and happiness.
It stings you with regrets or sadness.
Love, a many splendored thing,
seen and felt in many things:
Love between two people,
as friends, lovers or couples;
between parents and children;
between siblings or brethens.
Or love of power and money
Or love of fame and vanity.
These are all temporary
and would not be there permanently.
For there would be a time for them to go
and it hurts to let them go.
Look no more.
Search no more.
For love is you, giving you.
Love is asking, asking you
how far can you go
and how deep can you grow.
Love is an incredible feeling,
finding yourself giving and sharing.
Giving your all unselfishly.
Showing yourself truly and unself-consciously.
Love makes you reminisce
all of the good memories
of shared moments of happiness
and of times of togetherness.
Love lets go of regrets
and considers them as steps
to find and discover yourself
and to change and grow oneself.
Remember love is you.
The giving, growing you.
Stop looking for love.
For you are love.
