Lotus Rebirth

Lotus Rebirth

White
Lotus ~
Shimmering
Alabaster ~
Shy petals open
To the touch of sunlight
Blooms each dawn from murky depths
Wearing the blush of purity
She offers nectar to newborn day.

Sweet flower flees from midnight sighs
From black dreams assaulting rebirth
To follow the path of light ~
A golden corona,
In soft caresses,
Here awakens
The tranquil
Lotus
Star.

Thank you so much, Paige. In researching the lotus flower I discovered they sink into the water every night and rise, as a complete flower, every morning! What an incredible symbol of rebirth! So grateful for your lovely note. Sending you blessings of the lotus flower!
