Notes About The Poem

Lotus

The lotus blooms in the middle of the pond,
Its petals so pink and white, a pure delight,
Swans circle with grace, with movements in slow pace,
Leaves floating green inspire artis'st view around.

The lover dreams of beauty in her soft hair,
With lotus flowers, blushing pink, so candid,
Like the moon through clouds, her light beyond compare,
A vision very lovely blessed by lord.

The lotus, pure, in calm or storm, stands upright,
With movements in slow pace, swans circle with grace,
Eternal beauty spreads when lotus get old.

This is a graceful, tranquil poem dear Jay and pure delight to read. I kept looking at the picture while reading it. You have poetically described the lotus in all its beauty. Love the imagery with the swans circling. God’s wonderful creation. Really enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing :):)

A lovely image and a lovely poem, dear Jay ji. Water, swans and lotus - a divine combination. Their beauty is caught in a remarkable poem.

Lotus are beautiful, and talented, being able to 'swim' in water. It is a great combination, flower and water. I love your poem
