Lost Time

Tick tock, tick tock
Oh what a shock!
Both hands fell off
The town hall clock.

It's sad to tell
All is not well,
But the mayor left,
And took the bell.

No hands, no chime,
Oh what a crime--
How can the townsfolk
Know the time?
