Lost Then Found

I had everything,

but I didn't appreciate it.

This world is tempting.

I have been throwing a fit.

My father in heaven knows what's weighing on my mind.

He's like a shadow by side.

I don't know where to go, I have been blind.

But he will be my guide.

Just like the Prodigal son, I lost my way.

Just like the Prodigal son, I need to find my way home.

I need to get down on my knees and pray.

I don't know why I left the country to go roam.

As I headed back,

My father was outside waiting for me.

This time, I will try not to lose track.

This time, I won't flee.

My father will always care.

His love will never age.

His love will always be in the air.

It's time for me to turn the page.

It is all part of growing up, dear Kay. Yes! the ones who truly love us are there for us no matter what. Wonderful writing and expression of feelings and lessons learned. And...thank you for your kind comments on 'Violin'. Elaine
