Lost Sole

I saw a high-heeled shoe today
Abandoned in the street
And wondered how its owner walked
With such uneven feet.

Perhaps if she were fairly drunk,
(Enough to lose a heel)
Her teeter-totter gait might not
Be something she could feel.

I hope that her companion
Was a gallant type of fella
So both shoe and gal would find
Their soul-mates, just like Cinderella.

How very lovely, Ilene! As usual, smooth flowing and with a delightful ending. ~ Regards // paul

Ha! Ilene, great poem, and once in a while you do see those things where you wonder what the story is...

Made me smile Ilene and the clever title is absolutely BRILLIANT!!!:-) Yes where is that other shoe - I wonder if you will ever solve the mystery ... but at New year I imagine it is a sight that can be seen in many a city:-(

thanks, jan! sometimes it's better if a mystery isn't solved. the speculation can be more fun, don't you think?
