Lost Poem

I wrote that poem so long ago,
a cute ditty for my kids,
but when I tried to find the piece,
it had fallen off the grids.

Can’t find it for the life of me,
it’s lost, and I don’t know where;
I'm sure that once I’d written it down,
of this I truly swear.

It’s not online or stuck in a blog,
nor in my poetry notes,
no scrap exists on tiny paper,
or in the rubbish totes.

Cannot remember the spoken lines,
not for the life of me,
wish I could now recreate this poem,
for all my readers to see.

So, alas, it is lost for good,
to never make them smile,
but at least one time in their past
it made them laugh in style.

OMG. Where do you remember this? The squashed poem made them laugh so hard. Did you ever see it? I wish I could find it, I only rmember a few lines when I tried to recreate it.
