Lost Poem
I won't say I was a troubled child
At least, not that I was wild
I just never had a best friend
Hated stuff that seemed to trend
Loving myself is all I've ever done
Never wanted a younger one to come
Just my older brothers to care for me
As I careless about how they be
I was really something else...
I remember when we first met
I hated the shape of your head
You were really just you
Then I wondered she's new
And she never says hello to me
I thought of letting you be
But if I do who's gonna be with you
Especially now that you're really new
I thought I was being considerate...
I promised me to take care of you
Like no one's ever thought to do
I tried to love you for half a decade
Until myself came and asked to get paid
I lost you to the arms of anyone but me
Everyone even my loving mum could see
That that's the worse thing I've ever done
'Cause I'll live to regret this in time to come
I am really the worse...
These days, you're all I think of
And it's made me to sort of
Want to question if Narcissism has a cure
Because right now I feel my heart's pure
Like I have never loved anything else
Not even my favourite poem on the shelf
But I'm scared I may never get you back
This is an ode of me being sad
I hope you never get to read this...
