Lost My Heart
Lost My Heart
The blue sparkling waters
rippled under the
scorching sun
We laid soaking up the hot
rays as wet droplets
evaporated from our flesh
Our hair slicked back,
dark from its wet coolness
We both laughed until
our hands accidentally
touched sending chills
over my spine
I shivered despite the
heat of that day
When we gazed into
each other's eyes
Our carefree laughter
turned into nervous
giggles as we both
became aware of the other
It's that day that I fell
in love with you
Lost in your deep green eyes
drowning as I tried to swim,
yet it was a lost cause
for my heart was forever
lost that hot summer day
so very long ago....
