Lost My Heart

Lost My Heart The blue sparkling waters rippled under the scorching sun We laid soaking up the hot rays as wet droplets evaporated from our flesh Our hair slicked back, dark from its wet coolness We both laughed until our hands accidentally touched sending chills over my spine I shivered despite the heat of that day When we gazed into each other's eyes Our carefree laughter turned into nervous giggles as we both became aware of the other It's that day that I fell in love with you Lost in your deep green eyes drowning as I tried to swim, yet it was a lost cause for my heart was forever lost that hot summer day so very long ago....

Thank you Rick your words mean so much to hear! Appreciation is a mild word because I so enjoy when one can feel what I write and how I described it!;)

Wayne is quite right when he asks: "are you getting better each time out"?? Answer: most definitely yes!! You really have managed to put the reader right "into" that "end" moment...a truly brilliant finale. I am very impressed, Brenda...very impressed indeed. Lots of affection as ever. :) john

Lol John it thrills me that you think that! Again your words are so welcomed! See I have been trying to be a bit more descriptive and I guess it is working because what every poets end result is to make the reader feel as if they were there! John are you bias?;) I will take it though!;) All my affection B;)
