Lost Memories

Memories my mysterious memories
Logged somewhere in the back of my mind

Vague and distant these lifetime histories
Are stored yet never truly arise

Selected uninvited memories have tendencies
To be at the forefront of my consciousness

The function of my psyche creates a mismatch
Of the good and bad memories

I fear the intrusive negativity will never leave me
I’m gifted or ill fated with this limited positivity

I must unlock my mind
But I just can’t find the key
Just to saviour one more last happy memory in me.
