Lost Lover

                                          LOST LOVER

Those distant stars know of my plight
Conversations and wishes
All sent with a yearning heart and aching mind,
In the torment of the night.

Parallels of dust and mass
You exist, I exist and the one who writes the repeated play
Of could have been, should have been.
Torturous lessons in a master class.

Shining eloins of infinite bliss
Holding on to your power, to grow, tumefy the hope
For one who sinks in the memory
Of a lingering, loving kiss

And so, on the hours of torment slide
Under your eyes of perhaps and mine of desolation
Forever out of reach as are the shards I hide.

Such a well written, expressed, poem dear Janine. You have captured the loss, the anguish, so poetically well. So many great lines to admire- I could quote every line. The torment spoken to the stars above very poignant and especially the last line too. You truly are an amazing poet and your skill beautifully displayed here. A very emotive read. Thank you for sharing. Hope you are keeping warm. Hugs to you my friend xx :):)
