Lost Love

Like the sun's eternal warmth
Our love is beyond this earth
Victory over all the worlds wealth nothing compared to
Eternal passion only you can bring

He came along, tall, dark, handsome
Under a bus you threw me, no stopping
Real love can't be bought or forced, set you free
Two of you together, my soul torn
Single life again, memory of you forever mine.

A tight, compact and powerful poem. It doesn't have to win a contest to be a winner. This poem has already won simply by existing. A sore topic sweetly handled. JH

I really like how you did this, Bruce. I don't see congrats and it strikes me that you did not entitle this Message in a Bottle. I wish I Had seen this earlier and told you. To get on the winner list you had to give it that title. I think it had the potential to be a winner! SEVEN
