This is my first couplet. I'm having a blast trying the different forms of poetry and hope I keep learning and growing. Thank you to anyone who takes time to read this one and God bless you all.
We fought all the night through
Finally dividing the property in two
Never realizing the depth of pain
Feelings so genuine we couldn’t feign
Ominous arguments fell from our lips
Creating havoc with a poison eclipse
Words so careless and impetuous
It felt like they had been an auspice
Fighting much like two children
Refusing the possibility of being beaten
Establishing a cold, bitter war
Between two hearts who loved before
We are only two more individuals
Lost within a world that crumbles
What happened to the true love?
Once, we fit together like a glove!
