Lost Love

Love is something that most of us pursue.
When we finally catch it we are elated,
Happy to revel in the wonderful feelings that it brings.
Yet sometime's when we find love,
We lose it,
And we wonder why we chased it at all.
Then after old wounds heal we realize that love is too wonderful an experience in life
To be missed.
So we try again and again and again.
And hope to find that
All--consuming thing that is love
And attempt not to hold too tightly.
We try to learn from lost loves so that we may have the chance to live in the embrace
Of glorious love once more.
