Lost It

Promise made
Promise promised to be kept
Lost it all
On a bet
The devil set
Relapsed, fell
Broken and alone

Feel lower than
Six feet under
A promise broken
Tried best to be kept

Feeling lost
Somehow saved...
Need to stop pretending
Quietly whispering
While walking away
"I am not okay"
Happy faced lie
Harder to contain

Lost broken alone
Want to stop running
Tired of hiding
Dreamt of sunshine
Peace
Happiness...

Temptation lurks behind
Each face
Each hope
Each broken feeling

Hurt creeps out of
Every crack
Becoming clear to the open eye

Like trying to stop
Dust from flying
It becomes harder and harder
No longer able to contain pain
Three two one
Me?
I am gone.
